Emily Procter
American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born on October 8, 1968, is also an activist. She was Ainsley Hayes's character on The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002; 2006) and also played Det. Calleigh Duquesne was the lead character in a CBS police procedural show called CSI: Miami (2002–2012).
Early life
Procter was born on October 8, 1968. She was adopted at the age of a baby by William Procter, a general practitioner, and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was 3 years old at the time her parents divorced. She has an older brother, Whit also adopted.
Ravenscroft School was where Procter went to school in Raleigh. Procter was a student at East Carolina University and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She worked as a television anchor for WNCT-TV Greenville, North Carolina. After graduation, she graduated with degrees in journalism, and dance.
